African Steel Mills (ASM) is one of Nigeria's latest and most modern steel plant designed to produce a wide range of long products for building and construction industry. It is is commissioning two new Steel Mills across Nigeria.


Nearly 300 positions are now available in Ikorodu (Lagos), Ogijo & Agbara (Ogun State), Abuja (Suleja, Niger State) as well as support functions in Ikoyi, Lagos.

B.Tech/B.Eng/HND in Metallurgy and Material Engineering. Experience in Steel Industry will be an added advantage.

B.Tech/B.Eng/HND in Industrial & Production Engineering. Experience in Steel Industry will be an added advantage.

Trade Test or other relevant qualification. With running /maintenance knowledge of 3-16 CAT/HYSTER forklifts

14.) Tube Mill Operators (AGB/003)
Trade Test or other relevant qualification. With technical certificate and 2 years’ experience

15.) Tube Mill Welders (AGB/004)
Similar experience in Tube Industry with MIG/TIG welding experience in welding thinner strips to feed tube mill at high running speed

16.) 'Z' Purline Operator (AGB/005)
5-7 years experience in production of z purline lines as operator

17.) Slitting Line Operator (AGB/006)
5-10 years technical experience in Tube industry as Slitting Line Operator

18.) Straight Line Wire Drawing Operator (AGB/007)
5-10 years experience in wire drawing industry and with good knowledge of die calculations on dawning side

19.) Weld Mesh Machine Operators (AGB/008)
5-10 years In similar industry with operational experience In running and maintenance of the line

20.) Nail Machine Operators (AGB/009)
3-5 years experience in operation of Europe Nail Machines with die and cutter setting experience. Prospective candidates, preferably from NaillWire industry must be ready to work on shift.

B.ENG-Metallurgy, Dip-Metallurgy or its Equivalent. Experience In Steel Industry will be an added advantage.

6.) JCB Machine Ooerator (ASM/004)
4 years experience - With Minimum Qualification of First School Leaving Cert. Experience in Steel Industry will be an added advantage.
